This ‘four stone’ mill provides evidence that olive oil production at The Mill was on an ‘industrial’ scale, and not just for local consumption.

The interchange at Tavronitis on Crete’s major east/west highway (called the ‘New Road’) is approximately 10 minutes from The Mill. The sophisticated Venetian Harbour town of Hania, with its Archaeological and Naval museums, markets and delightful inner and outer harbour side restaurants, and maze of narrow stone streets with lively bars, authentic tavernas, and craft shops, is about a 30-minute drive from The Mill.
